People flocked here in the 19th century from other parts of Wales, Ireland and further afield. They were seeking work and riches. Their descendents are welcoming to strangers and learning to enjoy living in an area of tourism.

ReplyDeletein the industrial Revolution are many but the one man we and the Labour movement have forgotten John [Edward] Morgan.From the Sirhowy valley, western valley and Eastern valley. Hanged in Monmouth Jail for
being a miner and Scotch cattle.
