Meg Gurney is researching the Welsh history of the South Wales Valleys, including Llanhilleth Miners' Institute, also known as the Workmens' Institute or the Workmans' Hall. The Llanhilleth Miners' Institute is near Abertillery in Blaenau Gwent and is a grade 2 listed building.

Little is written about the village of Llanhilleth, but I would love to learn more of its history and see old photographs

I've decided to create this group, for people who live in the local area of Blaenau Gwent, who like taking photographs of the landscape we live in. It's a beautiful part of Wales and I'm sure we don't appreciate it enough. So if you have a favourite scene or simply like taking photographs, please upload them here. Only one caveat they must be local/or very near to the area.
Thanks Linda
